Why Choose Us?
Vein Conditions We Treat
-

Varicose Veins
Bulging Varicose Veins are not only a cosmetic concern, but they commonly cause symptoms, like ache, pain, heaviness, fatigue, itching, burning, restlessness, throbbing, swelling, and nighttime leg cramps. The bulging veins that are visible are almost always caused by malfunctioning veins under the surface, that not visible. Treatment of this root cause, along with treatment of the bulging veins directly improves how the legs look and feel!
-

Spider Veins
Spider Veins are not only a cosmetic concern, but they often are an indicator that Varicose Vein Disease is present, and they are commonly associated with symptoms such as ache, pain, heaviness, fatigue, itching, burning, restlessness, throbbing, swelling, and nighttime leg cramps. When significant Spider Veins are present, there are often malfunctioning veins under the surface of the skin that are part of the root cause. Treatment of the root cause, along with treatment of the Spider Veins directly improves how the legs look and feel!
Symptoms of Varicose Vein Disease
-
Leg Aching
Do your legs ache or throb and you assume it’s just because you're getting older, or because you don’t exercise enough, or because you exercise too much?
Veins can be part of the cause.
-
Leg Fatigue & Heaviness
Do your legs feel tired at the end of the day? Do you feel like you want to put your legs up to help them feel better? Do you feel like you don’t have the endurance that you used to have?
Veins can be part of the cause.
-
Itching or Burning
Do your legs itch or burn and you assume it’s just “dry skin”? Do your legs feel warmer than they should?
Veins can be part of the cause.
-
Leg Cramps
Do you get woken up at night by leg cramps or “Charlie Horses”? Do you assume that it’s only occurring because you haven’t had enough water to drink? Or because you were too active? Or not active enough?
Veins can be part of the cause.
-
Restless Legs
Do your legs feel like they just can’t get into a comfortable position, or they need to shift positions frequently in order to stay comfortable? Do your legs feel like something is crawling on them or like water is dripping down your leg, when it’s actually dry?
Veins can be part of the cause.
-
Leg Swelling
Do your legs swell, especially at the end of the day? Swelling can occur due to multiple reasons, but Varicose Vein Disease may be one of the reasons.
Veins can be part of the cause.
-
Creepy Crawly Sensation / Tingling
Do your legs feel like water is dripping on them even when they are dry? Does it feel like a bug is crawling on your leg even when one isn’t? Are your legs feeling numb or tingly?
Veins can be part of the cause.
-
Leg Darkness
Do your lower legs look darker than they should? Is the skin on your lower legs thicker and more firm than it used to be?
Veins can be part of the cause.
What are leg veins supposed to do?
The veins in the legs are supposed to carry the blood from the legs back up to the heart, but this is challenging due to the force of gravity. The blood tends to fall downward, but it needs to flow upward. In order to overcome the force of gravity, inside the leg veins there are tiny, “check valves”, which are supposed to only allow the blood to flow upward, towards the direction of the heart.
What happens when you have varicose veins?
These one-way “check valves” often become leaky, and this allows too much blood to flow downwards, which is the wrong direction. This is called “Reflux” or “Venous Insufficiency”. “Varicose Vein Disease” is another term that is used to describe this condition, even if a person does not have Varicose Veins visible. This “wrong way flow” causes too much pressure in the leg veins, which causes veins to become more visible, and it also usually causes people to feel symptoms in their legs.
